Six years ago, a blonde hair, blue eyed, cutoff jorts and tyedye shirt-wearin' man (yes, it's true!) took me to Ponte Vedra Beach to spend a whole beach day with him and his family. As the sun went done and we all started packing up, he told me to stand on a certain part of the beach. I was slightly confused, but did as directed. From there, he told me to take 8 steps east, 31 steps south, and 8 steps west (in which I later discovered were the numbers [08/31/08] that would start the rest of our lives together). To my surprise, I stopped at an "X" in the sand made of two sticks. He told me to start digging and, again, confused, but did as directed. Long behold, I struck a small Styrofoam cooler (that I accidentally broke a little while digging in excitement!). When I opened the cooler, there was were roses and two of those small Build-A-Bear hearts that you stick inside the bears when you customize them at the mall. His words to me: "You take one heart and I will take the other. I am willing to take care of your heart if you will take care of my mine." Smiling, happy, joyous, ecstatic- that was the first time I said "Yes!" to Collin Michael McKee. I was officially his girlfriend!!!
Then, almost 5 years from that date, he surprises me once more. Again, surrounded by his loving family, Collin decides to pop the question on 08/03/14. That is an engagement story that I can happily tell over and over and over again, but I already wrote about it once, and I'm sure y'all don't want me to rewrite it here again!

I cannot begin to TELL you how many times Collin and I did things or traveled or wine and dined somewhere and I thought the question was coming! But he held true to his word- he always told me he would propose when I would least expect it. I wouldn't be dolled up, my hair would probably be a mess, no make up on. And it was all what he promised me- I was in clothes I wore the previous day since I hadn't done laundry yet, my hair was greasy as anything... and before the picture of us outside, I threw some eyeliner on cause I was truly a hot mess! But I am so blessed he allowed me to say "Yes!" to him one more time!

Of course, one of THE MOST fun parts of wedding planning is getting engagement photos taken to show off your new ring ;) Just kidding, but it sure was one of the things that Collin and I looked forward to doing to get some nice photos taken of us. Thankfully, my hair stylist was a Soon to Be Mrs. herself and had some great friends that she recommended for us. Meeting Bryan & Kelly Honhart from Black & Hue Photography was one of the best things that has happened to us yet! Tallahassee locals, these two talented birds are the cutest husband & wife that we have met and we loved working with them for our engagement shoot! We cannot wait for them to be part of our big day!!!
